We love our Vitamix!

In our house we absolutely love smoothies. They are a great way to get large amounts of complex carbs, fiber, healthy fats, and protein in one meal. Our kids also love them, it’s a great way to get foods into them that they might not normally like.
Depending on what your health goals are, mixing up your smoothie recipes keep it exciting, and will determine what you will add. For all around health it’s good to get fruits, vegetables, fats, protein, and fiber.
I’ll admit I don’t always like the protein powder option, having just fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs is less heavy, more refreshing, and not as sweet, especially if I’m having other protein at breakfast, or just want a ton of veggies quickly.
Ryan always wants a smoothie with protein, so I thought I’d share two of our favorites, which like us, I like to call Opposites Attract:)

Left Leaning Blue Green Smoothie

The truth is, these smoothies are almost the same, with just a few slight differences.
Opposites aren’t always as opposite as they seem:)
