Kung Pow Venison

An oriental twist on wildgame – this healthy and delicious recipe will have your tastebuds tingling and offer a modern and unique recipe to an age-old meat!

Ingredients:

  • 4 venison steaks

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 2 Tbsp. hot sauce

  • 4 cups assorted vegetables of your choice (peppers. broccoli, green beans, carrots)

  • 2 Tbsp. ghee or butter

  • 5 garlic cloves

  • 1/2 cup beef broth

  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

  • 1/2 tsp. thyme

  • 1 tsp. cilantro

Directions:

  • Slice steak into thin strips

  • Combine soy sauce, olive oil, and hot sauce into a dish/bowl. Add the steak strips and marinade in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

  • Heat a splash of olive oil in a pan and slowly cook the vegetables to desired softness.

  • Remove steak after marinade time is complete. Place in airfryer in single layer and cook for 4 minutes on 400 degrees – be sure to save the remaining juices.

  • In another pan, add ghee/butter, minced garlic, beef broth, and remainder of marinade juice.

  • Bring mixture to simmer and then add vegetables – mix well.

  • When steak is finished cooking, add it to the mixture in the pan.

  • Add crushed red pepper flakes, thyme, and cilantro – mix well and heat

  • Plate over quinoa/desired grain and enjoy!
