(recipe derived and modified from jollyfilledeats.com)

  • 1 lb. ground chicken or turkey

  • 16 oz. alfredo sauce

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. minced garlic

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 12 oz. fresh spinach

  • 8 oz. mozzarella cheese

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • In a frying pan, brown the ground meat. Be sure to break the meat into small, ground pieces.

  • When browned, remove from heat and add all of the alfredo sauce and salt, then set aside.

  • In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic, and garlic power until thoroughly combined.

  • In a large casserole dish, spread half of the meat mixture across the bottom of the dish. Top with half of the ricotta cheese mixture.

  • Tear spinach leaves into small pieces (size dependent on your preference, I like bigger pieces) and add half of the spinach to the top of the meat and ricotta mixture.

  • Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese.

  • Repeat the layers; meat, ricotta, spinach, and then top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.

  • Bake for 35 minutes, until the cheese on top is golden and bubbling.

  • Plate and enjoy!
