As a teenager my stepdad used to cook an elaborate meal that we called Food.  It consisted of Top Ramen noodles, a fried egg,  a buffalo patty, and salsa.  Simple, and inexpensive this was a meal that we enjoyed quite frequently, and when we heard “Food” was on the menu we knew exactly what was for dinner.

This recipe is a replica of Food, with a much healthier spin.  You can use anything really for food- veggies, meat, eggs, noodles, rice, quinoa- whatever you have that can be put together and enjoyed!

To make 4 servings:

  • When quinoa is done, add 1/4-1/2 cup quinoa to bowl, then add sautéed veggies and 1/2 tsp (or more if you like!) EVOO.

  • Fry egg, then top with egg, italian spices, salt, and pickled peppers.

  • If you are adding a meat patty, lay it under the egg.

  • You can add any other spices or veggies!

  • Mix all tougher and enjoy this “Food” !
