Many family traditions, especially around the holidays, are centered around meals. This festive and tasty breakfast dish will serve and be loved by many.

Prep time: 15 minutes

Bake time: 35 minutes

Servings: ~ 8+

Ingredients:

  • 12 cups sourdough bread

  • 8 eggs

  • 2 cups 2% milk

  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced

  • 3/4 cup blueberries

  • 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar

  • maple syrup

Directions:

  • Grease 9×13” casserole dish with nonstick spray.

  • Cut up sourdough bread into cubes and add to casserole dish.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Whisk and mix well. Pour mixture over bread in casserole dish.

  • Add sliced strawberries and blueberries to top of casserole.

  • Wrap the casserole in saran wrap and refrigerate overnight.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 35 minutes.

  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  • Serve with maple syrup and enjoy.
